Why We Invested: Rapidflare
We are thrilled to profile recent Struck Capital portfolio addition Rapidflare in this edition of our “Why We Invested” series.
In the electronics and semiconductor industry, sales cycles are most often bogged down by technical sales bottlenecks. Non-technical sales teams struggle to answer customer inquiries, leading to delays and lost opportunities. Rapidflare solves this problem by acting as an always-on AI Sales Engineer, instantly delivering accurate technical insights to sales teams. Because of the crucial pain point they are solving, we are extremely excited to be backing the Rapidflare team.
The Story Behind Rapidflare
Co-Founders Navanee Sundaramoorthy (CEO), Vasanth Asokan (CTO), Prush Palanichamy (CRO), and John Williams (Chief Scientific Officer), are on a mission to embed deep product expertise throughout the electronics and semiconductor sales process by providing fast and accurate insights grounded in facts. While leading and building Product, Product Marketing, AI, and Engineering teams at Xilinx, AMD, Honeywell, and Eagle Eye Networks, they identified a fundamental inefficiency: selling complex technical products is difficult because customer-facing sales teams lack technical expertise and must rely on bandwidth-constrained sales engineers. Given their deep industry backgrounds and unique understanding of the technical nuances of these products, the team had the conviction to build and launch Rapidflare to revolutionize sales in the electronics and semiconductor industry.
The $891 billion electronics and semiconductor industry serves as the backbone of technological innovation across all sectors. Behind every machine, system, and AI application is electronic hardware acting as the technology enabler. Rapidflare is initially focusing on semiconductor OEMs and distributors, but their ultimate goal is to become the de facto AI Sales Engineer for all technical product industries.
How Rapidflare Supports Sales Teams
Rapidflare’s core product is a verticalized Agentic AI system that acts as an on-demand sales engineer, helping organizations navigate complex technical sales inquiries and solutioning needs. When an organization adopts Rapidflare, sales teams gain access to the platform via a web portal, Slack integration, or mobile application. With this 24/7 AI-powered Sales Engineer, teams can instantly retrieve insights and answers to technical product questions, dramatically reducing response times and reliance on human sales engineers.
Once a customer signs with Rapidflare, the platform integrates with their product knowledge base, processing various sources such as company websites, shared drives, content management systems, product documentation, and videos. This information is annotated, enriched, and cross-linked to feed Rapidflare’s AI infrastructure. When a sales inquiry arises, the system intelligently breaks it down into sub-requirements assigned to specialized AI agents. Rapidflare’s proprietary knowledge graphs allow these agents to deliver precise, high-quality responses efficiently.
The platform already achieves a level of accuracy that matches—and in some cases exceeds—traditional sales engineers. Additionally, Rapidflare continuously refines its models to improve response traceability, offering users transparency into how answers are generated while helping organizations identify gaps in their product documentation.
Beyond its core functionality, Rapidflare is rapidly expanding its AI capabilities. Responding to strong customer demand, the company has accelerated development of new AI agents to automate proposal generation and conduct detailed product comparisons and benchmarking. These features mark just the beginning of a broader suite of AI-powered sales tools that will unlock new efficiencies and capabilities across the industry.
Why Now?
Struck Capital is thrilled to have led Rapidflare’s $2.4 million seed round alongside Rebright Partners, Z21 Ventures, and other strategic investors. The need for a solution like Rapidflare has never been more apparent as the electronics and semiconductor industry experiences sustained growth, driven by macro tailwinds such as AI innovation and favorable regulatory policies like the CHIPS and Science Act.
Historically, sales engineers and technical sales professionals have been reserved for large customers and high-value deals due to resource limitations. This constrained coverage model is likely to persist—or worsen—given the ongoing shortage of technical sales talent. According to EC&M, the number of Electrical Engineering graduates increased by just 38% between 1997 and 2020, while overall bachelor’s degrees grew by 81% in the same period. As the demand for technical sales expertise outstrips supply, Rapidflare provides a scalable AI-driven solution that allows companies to support their sales teams without being limited by talent shortages.
We believe Rapidflare’s founding team possesses a rare combination of domain expertise, technical acumen, and deep understanding of enterprise sales motions. Their ability to solve key pain points for electronics and semiconductor sales organizations positions them to define the future of AI-powered sales engineering. Struck Capital is excited to support Rapidflare as they work toward becoming the industry-standard AI Sales Engineer, transforming how technical products are sold worldwide.
