The Spark of Innovation
The journey of GibsonAI began with a clear vision to transform how backend software is built. As Andrew Green, COO of Struck Studio, explains, “We started by understanding the pain points of product managers who were hamstrung by the bottleneck of engineering teams. Our goal was to empower them to lead product development without waiting on technical resources.”
This exploration led to a pivotal insight: while numerous tools facilitated front-end development, the backend—crucial for robust software applications—was largely underserved. The naming of GibsonAI itself is a nod to the pioneering spirit of the project. Inspired by the supercomputer from the cult classic film Hackers, the name reflects the tool’s capability and the visionary ethos of Struck Studio.

With the ambitious goal of redefining software development, finding the right CEO for GibsonAI was paramount. The role attracted immense interest, with 2,823 applications, reflecting the excitement and potential seen in the project. Harish Mukhami emerged as the ideal leader for GibsonAI, with his extensive background in AI and developer tools at companies like Microsoft and Apple. “Harish’s deep understanding of the needs of developers, combined with his proven leadership, made him a standout choice to guide GibsonAI into its next phase,” Andrew comments on the exhaustive selection process.
Adding to the leadership strength, Struck Studio Co-Founder and CTO Michael Montero has played a pivotal role in shaping GibsonAI from the ground up. His deep involvement in the project and commitment to its success led him to take on the role of CTO at GibsonAI directly. Mike’s hands-on approach and technical expertise are expected to drive GibsonAI’s technological advancement and ensure the product’s alignment with industry needs.
